Mamá YoGung Program - Pre Natal Classes

The focus of the Mamá YoGung is to make you feel good.

Pregnancy is a special, transformative experience and although your body is undergoing rapid changes Mama YoGung’s unique approach, will teach you how to enjoy, embrace and feel this process more fully.

In these classes you will learn how to safely work with your body during each trimester; stabilizing your posture, preparing your body and related muscles for labour and breast feeding and learning how to alleviate stress or discomfort should it occur.

Classes include specific breathing techniques and voice work (vibrational sound) to train the breath for labour as well as to release stress, balance emotions and energy levels optimizing your baby’s growth.

The 60 minute classes take place in an atmosphere of relaxation and tranquility. Educational tips on anatomy, physiology of pregnancy, labour and birth are shared throughout and music is used appropriately. Classes conclude with an informal talk between the participants and teacher.

When to start Mamá YoGung classes?
Whether or not you have exercised in the past, any time is good to start as long as you have your doctor’s or midwife approval.

How to start?
With your doctor’s written approval you can then have your initial visit which includes a physiotherapy evaluation so that the physiotherapist is aware of any condition (blood pressure, joint instability, old injuries, aches and pains etc…) that may affect your program of care.

A tailor made home exercises program will also be design after the evaluation if necessary.
